As I wrote about the serving techniques in my previous blog, a few want me to write the rules to play.

so today i am going to write about the rules that will help you in matches.

Basic rules !

Basically the first thing to do is serve.

so you should know that you can only  do cross serve in a matches.

• If the shuttle drops in a forecourt, its a short serve, i.e fault !
• Racket of the server must placed below to his/her waist.
• Double touch to shuttle by a common team is a fault.
• servers feet should not cross any line. 

Singles:-

• You can serve till the base line,as clearly shown in fig. below.
• But serve should be in the main block, you can't use sideline.

Doubles:-

• You have to serve in the main block, till the service line.
• If you miss the shuttle while serving, its a fault.

Scoring:-

Score Board

• Points are always added to the winning side.
• Game consists 21 points.
• At 21 all, the team gains 2 points first wins the match.
